Online Journal Entry 22

You don't have to be a "person of influence" to be influential. In fact, the most influential people in my life are probably not even aware of the things they've taught me.--Scott Adams
Our lives have all been touched by special people we know and love. Think about someone whom has a great influence on you? A friend? A family member? A boss? A teacher (not me--you will not get bonus points!!)? Tell me, why were they special and how has knowing them made you a better person?
"The strongest influences in my life and my work are always whomever I love. Whomever I love and am with most of the time, or whomever I remember most vividly. I think that's true of everyone, don't you? "--Tennessee Williams

My madre has a great influece on me. She's special because she's my mom obviously. Knowing her has made me a better person because she's taught me what's write and wrong. She's also made me a better person because she teaches me how to cook. She's an awesome cook. That's why i'm so fat.

I think the person who has the greatest influence on me would have to be my best friend Whitney. She has been there for me through thick and thin, good times and bad. We have known each other for about four or five years now and I am grateful for every year. She was there for me the night I chose to move out of my parents house. She stopped everything when I called her and she came and picked me and my stuff up. Just knowing I have a great friend like her is amazing...

Wow, this one is quite difficult.
I have met so many people and made so many great friends, and they have all, in one way or another, influenced my life. My grandma made the biggest impact in my life. Everyday, she taught me something different.

One person that has made a huge impact in my life, i would have to say is my mom. She is there for me always and forever, and she doesn't HAVE to but she is. She puts up with my crap, even though she shouldn't. She has really showed my that things in life happen that we wish didn't, but we have to hold our heads high and get through it and learn from. She has also, showed me that the best person to rely on is yourself.

The most influential in my life is my dad. Ever since I was a little kid he has always been there. For as long as I can remember he has been the one that I can go to for any thing. He is that one person for me that every one wants to grow up to be. The most important thing that he has taught me that has made me a better person is that it is only by God's grace that we are saved. That has changed my live for ever.

Someone that has made an impact on my life would def. be my big Sister. She has taught me so much in life. I honestly don't know what I would do without her. She inspires me to choose what is best for me. Lately, i have had problems with my friends and my ex and my sissy knows exactly what to say and have me do to go down the right path. Sometimes she cries because I am going through the exact things she did when she was a teen and she is trying to stop me from what i would be getting myself into because SHE KNOWS!

there have been so many people in my life who have influenced me and taught me so many good things. one of those people happens to be one of my best friends who recently passed away due to being deployed for the military. he was such a sweet and caring person...he showed me how to see the silver lining in everything bad and how to make the most of every situation and every day...i will never forget him and i will always love him!!!! another person who has greatly impacted my life would be my dad. he isnt the typical "im gonna tell u not to do this when ive done it myself" parent. he isnt even strict. he tells me about his experiences and where his choices got him and he lets me make my own mistakes so i can learn from them. but like i said there have been several influencial people in my life. Have a great evening!!!!

Ummmm my pastor has been extremely influential on my life. He has really helped my through some rough times in my life. As a matter of fact most of my entire church family including the youth group has helped without knowing it. My girlfriend has always been there for me when i needed someone to talk to and she listens very well. She tells me how exactly she feels and doesnt hide anything and i don't either. I tell it like it is which helps our relationship a lot. No Secrets!!!!!!!! The most influential "person" in my life has been God thou...he has been with me forever and will never leave my side and always protect me mentally and physically. I love all these people with my whole heart!!!!!!!

My dad is one of the nicest people I have ever ment. He is also well thought through. He will go out of his way to do things for people. He would cook up a meal at 4 in the morning for you if you wanted. He also thinks about things deeply and with lots of reasoning. I take after him and admire him the most.

Someone that has had a great impact on my life would probably have to be my youth pastor. I can talk to him about anything going in my life and no matter what he still treats me the exact same and accepts me for who I am. I guess my mom could go in there to, but she is mean. ha

People all around me influence my life everyday. Mr. Galley, whom I met just 2 months ago, is my Sunday school teacher at my church. He is Australian, so his accent is wicked sweet! He writes and sings music, so he shared with us one of his songs that he wrote. I don't remember what it was titled or how it went, but what I do remember is the feeling I got when he strung his guitar and started singing; I want to do that! I asked him how I could learn the piano. He gave me a few pointers and I was on my way. That day, after church I started picking out notes on the piano and finally put some music to my lyrics. It was exciting and amazing and shocking all at the same time! I could not believe I was writing music! The feeling of gratitude and relief came over me and the next Sunday I thanked Mr. Galley for everything he told me. I was influenced by his opinions and example greatly.

If I had to just pick one person that has been a big influence on my life, I would never be able to choose. I have 2 main ones. Number one would have to be my mother. She is the smartest woman I know and has been through so much in her lifetime and has been able to teach me a lot of things through her experience. Yes, she gets on my nerves sometimes but I love her and appreciate greatly how much she has taught me. Number two would have to be my sisters. I have 5 amazing older sisters who have been some of my best friends in the world. They have taught me things that no one else in the world could probably ever teach me. I love them all to death and will never express how thankful I am for them.

UMMMMM....There are 2 people. I guess my grandma. She has given me my favorite pice of advice. "There is no use in getting angry, the only person it hurts is you." I think about that everyday. That one sentence has changed alot of things for me,im more happy all the time and less frustrated. And it has saved me from getting in alot of fights.
The other person is my brother. He tought me my mad ninja skills. And just to let things go. If i fight with my parents he says to not let it get to me and shut up when i fight with them because it will only get harder for me if i dont. I dont know what i would do with out his ninja wisdom.

wow well i have had many influential people in my life and im sure i will have many more to come. the people that stand out the most are family and friends. your family has been there from the very beginning and till be there till the very end. they help you out with whatever you want or need. your friends are not the people we are connected to by blood. these are the people you choose to be with, unlike family where u have to spend time with even if u dont always want to. friends dont have to be there through it all but if u choose great ones like i have they will be there no matter what. pick your friends wisely and they will be very influential.

someone who has had a big impact on my life is my mom. Since i can remember she has been an alcoholic. As i grew up it was worse and worse, and it came to a point where i dont remember a sober day. I feel like my family lost hope and didn't think things would change. Fortunatly, we moved to branson and she became very active in Church Army. Now she has been sober for more than two years. She has showed me that God can change anyone and any situation. She is a huge part of my life now and i'm glad we went through the hard times because i dont feel like i would have the relationship with god, and her like i do today.

My special person would have to be my boyfriend Gary! Gary is special to me because, we have been together for almost 2 years..and I love him very much! He has made me a better person because, before me and him got together...I use to yell at my brother and sisters and my mom. But, once me and him got together...he taught me how NOT to do that. -AND- He is the one that taught me many more things and by doing the stuff that I did, he made me realize how BAD I was and how un respectful I was to people!

I have a good friend named Alexis. She is very understanding and listens to me when I am upset. She encourages me when I am down to get up and be happy. She always says dont let the stupid things in life ruin your fun! She is an awesome friend and I can really trust her. She has made me a better person because instead of going and getting revenge or being stupid about things, she teaches me to be rational and considerate of situations.

My best teacher would have to be my grandpa. He is the greatest person I know. He loves everyone and is an awsome man of god. He's read the bible through idk how many times everyone who meets him is greater with a smile and a joke. He loves to joke around and have good times. He takes care of his kids and grandkids. I have never seen him get angry or hear a wrong word come out of his mouth. He is the hardest worker I've seen even at his age. I love my grandpa and want to grow up and try to be as good as him :)

my dad is my main influence and roll model in life. i never really noticed how much alike i am to him, including how we both do the same style of drawing, both know computer stuff like crazy, both like to do all kinds of the same stuff, politics... and the list goes on forever. its not like he actually tries to influence me but it automatically happens when we spend time together and he has a very different personality.

The person that has made the biggest impact on me would have to be Col. Denny he has helped me see what things i can do and that i am able to do things that i never thought i would be able to do. espically this year i have done so much in our program that i never thought i would be able to do. For an example i commanded a color guard at a basketball game and i was on the competition color guard i honestly never thought i would be able to do some of those things. But with the advice that he has given me i really have strived to do things that i never would have in a million years. He has also played an influence in my decision in going into the Air Force and told me what jobs that he thinks i would do the best at.
