- I grew up in a little town in Southwest Missouri and have wanted to be a teacher nearly all of my life. Every grade I went through, I would imagine creative ways to teach each subject. After high school, I went through the Honor's Program at MSSU, where I met my husband, Eddie, on my very first day of classes. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English and Theatre and recently took a year off teaching to attend MSU where I earned my Master's Degree. Eddie teaches history at Nixa Jr. High and coaches 7th grade football and I stayed at home with our three children for ten wonderful years. Tucker, 12, Savannah, 8, and Emma, 5, are the light of my life--we love movies, pools, and just hanging out together. I'm excited to be returning to BHS this year where I will have all sophomore classes. As I love to read all kinds of things and have spent many happy hours lost in books, it is my goal to pique the imagination of my students in a subject in which they have shown little interest. We will be learning a lot in a great variety of ways, so I ask you all to join me on this journey and try some new things as we go to see if you can find out where your own passions lie.

That's cute. I like how the little boy blows up and goes off about the world needing to change around him and that he doesn't need to change. haha I think everyone needs room to change. It's funny how The tiger just stands there with nothing to say and then makes a statement later on which makes it funny. :)
