- I grew up in a little town in Southwest Missouri and have wanted to be a teacher nearly all of my life. Every grade I went through, I would imagine creative ways to teach each subject. After high school, I went through the Honor's Program at MSSU, where I met my husband, Eddie, on my very first day of classes. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English and Theatre and recently took a year off teaching to attend MSU where I earned my Master's Degree. Eddie teaches history at Nixa Jr. High and coaches 7th grade football and I stayed at home with our three children for ten wonderful years. Tucker, 12, Savannah, 8, and Emma, 5, are the light of my life--we love movies, pools, and just hanging out together. I'm excited to be returning to BHS this year where I will have all sophomore classes. As I love to read all kinds of things and have spent many happy hours lost in books, it is my goal to pique the imagination of my students in a subject in which they have shown little interest. We will be learning a lot in a great variety of ways, so I ask you all to join me on this journey and try some new things as we go to see if you can find out where your own passions lie.

This is a very hard decision. If I had to chose a word it would have to be two words, "kinda ambitious". I have these big goals in life that I want to accomplish, but I don't want to do the hard work to get there. This is not a good thing but thats how I would describe myself
I think it would have to be push-over (i think that counts as one word because its hyphenated)because i hate telling people no and i always feel bad for being mean. so whenever poeple ask me to do something i usually end up doing it even if i dont want to.

It's hard to describe yourself because your view is different from others. There are also many words that come to mind when I think about myself. If I must describe myself in one word it would be selfless. I always think of others and I have been told I have a very large heart for people. I love seeing people happy and being able to help with their happiness if I can.

One word that describes me would be opinionated. I am very blunt and I know how to say what I feel. If i dislike something, people will know. I am not afraid to voice my opinions and I don't care what other people think about them, they are my opinions, not theirs. I pretty much have opinions about everything.
